How does the treatment work?
Micro-needling is an advanced facial treatment that uses tiny needles to penetrate the skin and stimulate collagen and elastin production. It is clinically proven to soften fine lines and wrinkles, tighten and thicken the skin, restore elastin and collagen, reduce acne scarring, and improve the appearance of stretch marks. The technique uses small needles to penetrate the skin creating micro-injuries at the skins surface. This can be integrated with serums which can be efficiently absorbed into the skin to treat a variety of skin conditions and imperfections.

The micro-punctures created within the dermis promote a healing response, encouraging collagen fibres and elastin to be laid down within the treated areas. This reduces fine lines and wrinkles and the susceptibility of further lines to develop. The micro-needling equipment can treat the face and body and can be adjusted with different depths of penetration. With this adjustment, delicate skin around the eyes can be treated more superficially while the skin on the body can be treated more deeply. In this way, I can customise your micro-needling to treat fine lines, acne scars, pore size, and stretch marks, without any downtime.
What can I expect after Micro-needling Treatment?
There is usually a bit of redness for one to two days after the treatment. By the next day, the skin can still be a bit pink, but you’ll be able to use make-up and no one will know that you’ve just had a facial rejuvenation treatment!

You will need to use hyaluronic acid serum for the first couple of days. Then I recommend to add vitamin C serum, which should be mixed in the palm of your hand with 'Simple' moisturiser to your skin regime. It's also extremely important that you drink plenty of water to hydrate and help plump the skin.

Keep in mind that the healthier your body is, the better will be the results you achieve from a micro-needling procedure. Your body’s function and overall health are reflected in your skin. So, before and after the procedure I suggest taking a good complex of vitamins with minerals, as well as Omega 3 supplement.
How often can I have micro-needling?
Even one micro-needling procedure will result in smoother, more radiant, and youthful skin. However, I recommend 3-6 sessions, each spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
